My last post was about the NASCAR race my husband and I were going to...we had Skybox tickets to the Autism Speaks 400 at Dover International Raceway in Dover, Delaware. So, I thought what a great theme to show my photos under but Advertisments!?! Nascar is nothing but advertising!
Dover is known as The Monster Mile, and this is the Monster!
This is me standing next to Speed McQueen - the car from the Cars movie! I LOVED that movie!
Talk about advertising! These are the team trailers where you can buy tons of souveniers - I got a Tony Stewart visor and Tony Stewart window sticker for my car. Can you figure out who my favorite driver is???
Uh, Oh! Michael Waltrip blew an engine! That was the end of his day!
Tony comes into the pit for fuel and tires...it was so cool to be sitting right where we could watch everything that went on in his pit!
I sure hope we are offered these tickets again!

Ruby Tuesday - Cabin Run Covered Bridge
What better subject for Ruby Tuesday than a red covered bridge!
Today's bridge is Cabin Run Covered Bridge in Plumstead Township. It is built over the Cabin Run Creek, not far from the Loux Bridge (see my 5/11/09 post). It was built in 1871, and is 82 feet long. The person napping in the 3rd photo is my son Sean...

Covered Bridges and Lancaster, Pennsylvania
It's been such a long time since I've blogged! You may remember that I went back to work after surgery on March 30. Well, while I was out someone in corporate decided that it was a good idea to block our access to all online storage sites, including Flickr! So, I no longer have access to my photos at work unless I email them to myself from home. I finally remembered to do that last night. So I'm Back!!
These first two are of the Loux Bridge, located on the border of Bedminster and Plumstead Townships in Bucks County. It runs over Cabin Run Stream. It was built on 1874 of hemlock, and at 89 feet is one of the shortest in Bucks County.
The second group of photos was taken at Red Run Campground in New Holland, PA, which is in Lancaster County. This is where we will be spending our Memorial Day weekend in out new camper - I can't wait! Hopefully, if all goes well this weekend, we will be taking some exciting camping trips next year! The second photo is my favorite...
I'm going to try to post more often, I promise! I've missed everyone!
